Euromax and the Giant Screen Cinema Association host big screen event for this year's ECSITE

Euromax and the Giant Screen Cinema Association (GSCA) have announced a special free giant screen cinema event for delegates at this year’s ECSITE Conference in Holland.

Scheduled for the morning of Friday 23 May, the host venue of Omniversum – on the ECSITE conference campus – will be used as the hub for networking and experiencing twenty-three educational and documentary giant screen film trailers on the 21m (69ft) dome theatre.

Each year, members of Euromax – the European association for giant screen, specialty, educational and institutional documentary films – meets with other theatre and venue operators, film producers, distributors and technology vendors to experience the latest releases and develop their specialist industry as a team. For 2014, Euromax has joined forces with the GSCA to host a special event for visitors to the ECSITE annual conference in The Hague, Holland – offering guests a taste of the experience, revenue and attraction building capabilities offered by giant screen cinema.

“The Euromax and GSCA associations are key resources for educational films and cinema technologies. We represent the business of educational cinema experiences worldwide, and the bridging of our associations with ECSITE will facilitate new networking, learning and business exchange opportunities,” explains Beth Nicholas, Euromax general administrator.

“GSCA has had much success in our partnership with ASTC (Association of Science Technology Centers) in the US, and expanding our relationships with European science centres will bring tremendous value to the giant screen and educational cinema network worldwide,” said GSCA executive director Tammy Seldon.

Sponsors of the 2014 Giant Trailers Breakfast event include IMAX, nWave Pictures Distribution, Giant Screen Films, MacGillivray Freeman Films, National Geographic Entertainment, BIG & Digital, 3D Entertainment, SK Films and K2 Communications.
